Jersey Town Criterium Events Update – 21 August 2014

The Jersey Criterium 2014 will feature a number of events over the 3 days of racing, including specific JCAYA organised events on the Saturday and Sunday:

Saturday 23rd August – Circuit Races

As part of the Jersey Criterium, a number of circuit races will be held on Saturday 24th August at the Frank Machon Race Circuit, Les Quennevais.

The JCAYA age groups will be the same as for the Town Criterium (age as of 1st January 2014).

Race registration is via the Webscorer system on the club’s home page or on the day from 13:30. Please note that no entry fee applies to this event.

Race times as follows:

1st Race U7s (1 lap) 14:15 start

2nd Race 7-9s (3 laps) approx. 2:35 start

3rd Race 10 -12s (4 laps) approx. 14:50 start

4th Race 13-15s (6 laps) approx. 15:20 start
Timings will be flexible dependant on the duration of each race. We may have to cut down the number of laps to ensure meeting the start of the Men’s Elite race at 16:00.
Sunday 24th August – Town Criterium

The JCAYA will also organise four races in the Sunday Town Centre Criterium – kindly sponsored by C.I. Engravers Ltd. Details of the day’s programme (following amendments) can be found here.

Race registration is via the Webscorer system on the club’s home page. Late entries will be taken on the day from 10:00 up to 1 hour before each race start. Please note that no entry fee applies to this event.

*** VERY IMPORTANT *** – Please note that all JCAYA members will be expected to provide a Marshall in order to oversee the JCAYA events.

Without sufficient Marshalls we will be unable to run the events. Would you therefore please contact Lynda Lutz via lynda.lutz@gmail.com advising of your availability and a contact number.

Marshalls are now required for the following periods on Sunday 11:45 to 13:15 and/or 15:15 to 16:00. Please head your e-mail as Town Crit Marshall and respond ASAP please, thank you.
